In-chair Entertainment
We offer a multitude of options to keep our patients entertained and occupied during their time in our dental chairs. From movies on our overhead tv to personal headphones for their favorite tunes, we do our best to distract them from the unpleasantries of dentistry and strive to make each visit as fun and comfortable as possible. Your child will feel like they have just left the movie theater rather than the dentist and that is exactly our goal!
Our in-chair enterntainment consists of the following:
- Headphones & Music
- Overhead Tvs & Movies
- Video Games
iTero Digital Scanner
Dental impressions are a necessary first step for many treatments, but absolutely NOBODY likes having to bite into dental putty to create one. Thankfully, our patients no longer need to! With our iTero Digital Scanner, we simply use a small device to take thousands of close-up images of the teeth that are then pieced together by software to create a fully digital 3D impression. This approach is not only faster and more comfortable than the traditional way, but the impressions are of much higher quality, too!
Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) Treatments
SDF is a liquid substance made of silver, water, fluoride, and ammonia that can be applied directly to teeth in order to prevent dental caries (cavities) and also lessen sensitivity. Unlike traditional fluoride treatments, SDF treatment can be used to repair a tooth that has already developed some minor decay. During a routine exam, we can evaluate and let you know if your child could benefit from SDF treatments.
Digital X-Rays
Many parents worry about dental X-rays because of the radiation, but digital X-rays help put that concern to bed. Not only are they much faster and sharper compared to traditional X-rays, but they also emit 90% LESS radiation. Plus, we can easily show you and your child the images on a monitor right in the treatment room and edit them so they’re easier to understand. They can also be sent, stored, and copied infinitely for your convenience.
Soft Tissue Laser
Your child might be excited to learn that their dentist is now able to use LASERS to take care of their teeth! Our SOL soft tissue laser is able to eliminate harmful bacteria from along the gum line as well as remove any infected or unwanted tissue. It can also be used to create a more cosmetically pleasing gum line and even treat tongue-tie issues! It emits almost no heat, sound, or vibration, meaning it’s very easy for patients of all ages to stay completely relaxed during a procedure.
3D Printers
We use a 3D printer in our dental office to create our own in-house orthodontic aligners, similar to Invisalign. By making them ourselves, our patients are able to start their treatment much faster—they often receive their custom-made aligners in just a day or two. And, for our patients currently using retainers, our printer even allows us to quickly repair or make new ones as needed, meaning patients never have to wait too long for a replacement.
Airway/Sleep Apnea Assessment
Sleep apnea is a very serious and often underdiagnosed disorder in which a person temporarily stops breathing throughout the night, and it can have serious consequences for a person’s overall health. It can even affect children, often leading to symptoms that are mistaken for ADD/ADHD. We can perform an airway/sleep apnea assessment on our patients to determine whether or not they could benefit from additional treatment, protecting their rest and their health at the same time.
